What’s Jackie Reading?
I loved this book because I love stories about families that despite their individual flaws and collective dysfunction fight to stay connected and that continue forgiving each other for being human.

What’s Jackie reading?
This quote sums up the message of Miller’s book:
Life is full of fits and starts. Some things are easy; some are not. Some things go and some things stop. Do your work; then set it down. There are no failures. Forgive and forget yourself.
Miller was obviously referring to motherhood when she wrote these words. But, as I was reading her book I kept thinking how her message was also applicable to divorce. Check it out and let me know what you think.

What’s Jackie reading?
Three days ago I finished reading Blindness by Jose Saramago. It is a story about a fictional city in which everyone goes blind except for one woman. It explores the question of what happens when people who can see, do not see.
Why should someone going through divorce want to read a book about blindness?
Because reading Saramago’s book may help you see why you have a responsibility to solve problems you didn’t create and why it sometimes makes sense to give more than you get.
