Need Encouragement?

coversmall2

I am giving away 10 copies of my book Jackie Stanley’s Dictionary of Encouragement:  A Reassuring Guide to Defining Who You Are and How You Are Going to Live Your Life.

This dictionary was designed to assist you when you need help with the challenges and difficulties of everyday life.  You can use this dictionary to define who you are in terms that empower you and your circumstances in ways that will allow you to transcend them.

Each entry in this dictionary is defined in a way that will reassure you, incorporated in a sentence that will support you, or cited in a quotation that will encourage you.

How do you get your free copy?

What’s Jackie Reading?

cutting-for-stone1

I loved this book because I love stories about families that despite their individual flaws and collective dysfunction fight to stay connected and  that continue forgiving each other for being human.

How to Help Your Children Survive Your Divorce

The effect upon children, and your relationship with them, can often be the most painful and long-lasting aspect of divorce.  Your family life will be permanently changed, as there will no longer be the “family.”

Even if you remarry, step-parents rarely bring back that same family feeling.

Your relationship with your children may become strained as they work through their feelings of blame, guilt, disappointment and anger.  The strain may continue for many years.

Your children may even need professional counseling.  It is your job to make sure they get it everything they need to get through this process.

What can the legal system do for you?

The legal system was designed to assist reasonable people in finding a  resolution to their reasonable disputes.

The legal system was not designed to assist irrational people in exacting revenge on their ex’s.
