NCDS is currently offering the following on-line courses.   These courses are offered via the internet which means they are available anywhere and anytime you have internet access.   Please visit our FAQ to learn more about our on-line course offerings.

Getting Started at NCDS  (NCDS-100)

This course will provide an introduction to N.C. Divorce School and guidance on how to get the most out of the courses.

Divorce 101:  Intro to North Carolina Divorce Law (NCDS-101)

This course provides a quick and easy to understand overview of the North Carolina divorce law.

Cost:  Free

The Quickie Divorce (NCDS-102)

This course will teach you how to prepare the forms and take the steps needed to get divorced from your spouse in 14-days or less without going before a judge or stepping foot in a courtroom. 

This course is designed for people who circumstances fit the following criteria:  there are no issues regarding children, alimony, debts or property that the court needs to resolve for you and you and your spouse have not  entered into a separation agreement and  your spouse is willing to sign the documents needed to speed up the divorce process.

The Simple Divorce (NCDS-103) 

This course is designed for people who circumstances fit the following criteria:  there are no issues regarding children, alimony, debts or property that the court needs to resolve for you and you and your spouse have not entered into a separation agreement and you have your spouse’s North Carolina work or home address. 

This course will teach you how to prepare the forms and take the steps needed to get divorced in North Carolina.

The Friendly Divorce (NCDS-104)

Are you and your spouse on good terms?  Prior to filing for divorce, have you both agreed to or will agree to enter into Separation Agreement that will resolve any and all issues regarding your children, alimony, debts or property?  Are both you and your spouse willing to sign the documents needed  to finalize your divorce? 

If you have answered yes to these three questions, then this is the course for you.  It will teach you how to prepare the forms and take the steps needed to get divorced.

How to Prepare a Separation Agreement (NCDS-201)

Have you and your spouse reached an understanding regarding who is going to do what and who is going to get what while you are separated and after you are divorced?  If so, this course will take you step-by-step through the process of preparing a Separation Agreement that outlines the terms of you and your spouse’s understanding regarding important matters like your minor children, major assets, debts or personal property.
